Hi, I’m Kate, a creative artist, graphic designer, and photographer focused on creating the best projects to communicate ideas in a beautiful way. I’d love to help Our Streets Minneapolis tell their story, share their triumphs, and advocate for a more socially just and environmentally friendly transportation ecosystem. I’m able and willing to put in the work, passionate about the cause, and excited to communicate with the public, government, and media about Our Streets Minneapolis.
I’m talented at developing unique custom designs to best showcase each project. Working with other members of my team, administrative leadership, and the community, I complete tasks according to budget and schedule goals. Adobe CC, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom, and Microsoft Office Suite are my go-to software, but I’m also knowledgeable in several others and able to learn company-specific software and methodology quickly. While I’ve been working part-time as a freelancer for several years to raise my child, I’ve kept up on all technologies and social media!
Personally, I’m also a proud resident of Minneapolis who participates in my community as often as I can. Volunteering locally with organizations that help children stay healthy, active, and included are particularly important to me. I’ve helped local organizations by supporting their graphic design and/or photography needs, and also providing support at in-person events and organizing volunteers.
My family likes to be active in the city, too: biking, hiking, walking, running, and taking in community events that foster equality/equity and environmental justice. My child wants a better world and has always appreciated Minneapolis’s opportunities to help make that happen. We love it here and working with an organization that supports my priorities would mean the world to me and make my child proud!
