Kate’s visual design skills are incredible. She was able to take a basic visual idea that I had and shape it into something better than I even imagined. She is always on time with her work and a great collaborator. Plus she’s kind, friendly, and fun to work with.

Kate is very good with layout, graphic design and especially hand-drawing images by various means, ancient and modern. She is also good at implementing them, in files, on paper, on websites, and more. For me, she has created my logo, my silkscreen image files, my business cards, and my website.

Kate did all the artwork and graphic design for my piano studio for over 4 years. Her artwork and layouts really gave my piano studio a professional look for the most public facing event of the year – the spring recital! Each year she came up with a fresh theme with new, beautiful artwork for the posters and programs. If I hadn’t closed my piano studio to begin grad school, I would still be doing business with her.

Repeat customer: Kate was an incredible help to me in finishing the final tweaking, formatting, and layout of my ~200-page dissertation. She did a much more aesthetically pleasing job on the figures than I ever would have done with her graphic-design eye and Illustrator. Her knowledge of the intricacies of MS Word and her attention to detail meant that the final product was gorgeous. Getting all the figure and table references sorted and entered correctly and with consistent naming conventions so that they correctly populated lists of figures and tables was a huge job and it came out really well! Kate designed the t-shirt artwork for the 2021 Midwest Morris Ale. She did an amazing job of coming up with a fun, personalized design based on our very loose concept. Attendees had a great time decoding the two secret messages hidden in the parachute, which is a detailed reinvention of the Mars Perseverance Rover’s. She even created scalable vector versions of our logo artwork when all we could find were low resolution JPGs. Kate is a good listener and was patient with our volunteer group as we worked out technical requirements for t-shirt printing and feedback from a committee.
