Catherine at Rough Magic Performance Company needed to advertise for their Fringe Festival performances. I was thrilled to represent them for these endeavors. I’ll be collaborating with them again soon.

A postcard advertising Measure4Measure, a modern adaptation of Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare.

For Measure4Measure, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, Alayne plays Isabella. Measure4Measure is a fresh, feminist take on Shakespeare’s classic #MeToo play. Six actresses bring to life this powerful tale of the intersections of sex, corruption, and spirituality.

They wanted an ad that embodied the frustration of choosing between innocence and independence. The juxtaposition of the jean jacket with the habit, as well wings of graffiti brought that to life.

I did a photoshoot with Alayne at Mill City by the river walk and then designed the wings in Illustrator. I then went into photoshop to add the ‘graffiti’ wings into the photo.

Much Ado About Nothing (as told by Dogberry and Verges) is Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love/hate relationships made modern by 6 women and 2 puppets. this production balances the irreverent clowning parts of the story with the deeply moving and tragic. A hilarious and moving tale of love, jealousy, trickery, and redemption with a fresh and feminist perspective.

To make this advertisement, I took photos of each of the actors. I then went in photoshop and merged all six into two people.
